To successfully promote objectives at the General Assembly, Zane employs a tailored, issue-based approach. From his time at the North Carolina State Board of Education and in the private sector, he has demonstrated expertise in developing sound strategies and executing productive game plans. Zane provides this capability and knowledge representing clients at the General Assembly and before state agencies, boards, and commissions.

Before entering government relations, Zane worked in the General Assembly for various legislative leaders and members. He staffed numerous committees, working closely with legislators, legislative staff, lobbyists, and state agency staff. He crafted legislation, provided counsel on issues, and produced communications. Zane developed trusted relationships with members from both chambers and political parties, while gaining in-depth knowledge of North Carolina’s unique legislative process. These are both vital components of the calculated perspective that TSG provides.

Zane has additionally been involved with campaigns throughout the state in management and advisory capacities. His political engagement has further enriched many relationships with local and state leaders. He is a native of Catawba County, NC and a two-time graduate of North Carolina State University, holding a Master’s of Public Administration in Public Policy and a B.A. in Political Science, Law and Justice.
